ILM Tool Inc. is very proud to be ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D registered. While many machine shops are ISO 9001:2015 registered, not many take the extra steps necessary to receive the prestigious AS9100D Certificate of Registration.
AS9100D encompasses all of the ISO 9001:2015 standards and inserts many additional requirements that meets the international standards needs of the aerospace industries. AS9100D is developed and maintained by the Aerospace division of SAE International and the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG). These additional certification requirements were developed to meet the very stringent requirements of the international aeronautical industries, military industries and space industries. A few of the requirements have great focus on employee training, production control, purchasing controls and processes, quality management systems, risk management, continuous KPI reviews, continuous process improvement, FOD controls, on-time performance and quality of product performance. AS9100D also requires annual compliance audits as well as recertification audits every three years.
ISO 9001:2015 sets the development of a Quality Management System (QMS) within the company. This focuses on quality of product and the repeatability to produce the products to the same high standard of quality. ISO 9001:2015 registered companies are also required to maintain extensive documentation related to employee training, purchasing and production of parts, with emphasis on product quality. ISO 9001:2015 is developed and governed by the International Standards Organization (ISO). ILM Tool Inc. had to pass an extensive audit by an accredited certification body (CB) or registrar. We are furthermore required to pass annual compliance audits as well as a full recertification audit every three years.
